Where Creativity and Curiosity Thrive
We encourage our students to teach a class on any topic they like. The experience gives the kids the confidence to speak and present in front of their peers. What sorts of things do they teach? We’ve had classes on puppet shows, making videos, trading card games, crayon art, drawing animals, and making pillows!
Our students often say what they love most about Gear Up is the friends they make. Our format allows plenty of time for students to get to know one another, including dedicated social time at the end of each day, special event parties and field trips.
Homeschooling can be a lonely prospect. But it doesn’t have to be. One of our missions at Gear Up is to provide a place where all homeschoolers are welcome in a secular environment that honors all learning styles and beliefs. We do this by providing enrichment courses and a social outlet on a consistent basis as well as group activities such as Fall Foliage Festival, community service and holiday parties
The first 4 drop-ins are free, check us out to see if it's a good fit. If you like it, join as a member.
Teens get together for a few hours of social time. They often play board games or just hang out. Date and time are subject to change, please contact a board member to ensure the current week's meet.
A weekly Lego club to build those engineering minds. Meets at 10:30am. A crafternoon follows at 12:30pm. Lego Club is drop-in. Lego Club will not be meeting after the end of April.
We meet at 1:30 for our Co-Op classes in a relaxed learning environment, all ages welcome. Classes rotate in topic monthly and are available on a drop-in basis.
